Privacy notice.
This notice describes how CareerPathIQ handles personal data in the platform and on this site. It reflects what the platform actually does today. Where a legal detail is still being finalised, we say so rather than state something we cannot yet stand behind.
Accounts and authentication
Creating an account and signing in are handled through Supabase, which provides our database and authentication. That involves your email address, authentication identifiers and session records. Supabase acts as our processor for this data.
Your career record
When you use the platform you can enter and save career information, and it is stored against your account so the platform can work across sessions. Depending on which parts of the service you use, that can include:
- your details, contact information and professional summary
- work history, qualifications, skills and supporting evidence
- target roles and gap analysis relating to those targets
- CVs you import, build or optimise, and job descriptions you paste for comparison
- Career Profiling responses and the results derived from them, including earlier versions where you have recalculated
- application, interview preparation, development planning and progress records
Forms on this site
Where a page offers a contact or demo enquiry form, the information you submit in it is used to respond to your enquiry and to administer the conversation that follows.
Service and technical data
Running the platform produces operational records — for example authentication events, server function and error logs, and records of failed or retried saves. We use these to keep the service working, to investigate faults and to protect accounts. They are not used to profile you commercially.
Why we use your data
- to provide the service you have asked for and keep your record available to you
- to administer your account, plan and any services you have arranged with us
- to keep accounts and data secure, and to detect and fix faults
- to provide support when you contact us
- to operate and improve the product
- to meet obligations that apply to us in law
Career Profiling stays private to you
Career Profiling is self-insight. Its responses and results are private to your account. They are not shared with recruiters or employers as selection data, do not enter CV content, and are not used to rank, screen or select anyone.
Sharing is yours to permit
Nothing from your record is shared with a recruiter, employer, adviser or organisation except where you have explicitly permitted it for an agreed purpose. Any decision made by a recruiter or employer remains theirs; CareerPathIQ does not make it for them.
Your record, your control
The record belongs to you. You can correct what you have entered, recalculate a profile, and where the product supports it export or delete your data. If something you want to remove is not yet removable in the interface, contact us and we will action it.
We do not sell member data
We do not sell personal data, and we do not offer access to members as a sourcing database.
Still to be completed before commercial launch
Our legal entity details, retention periods, the full list of legal bases we rely on, and our supervisory-authority registration details will be published here before the platform is offered commercially. We would rather state that plainly than publish figures we have not had confirmed.
